Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. Introduction
These terms govern your use of the Tommy Alexander Motors website and any enquiry or purchase made in connection with a vehicle advertised on it. By browsing this website or contacting us about a vehicle, you accept these terms.
2. Vehicle Descriptions
All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the vehicles listed on this website are presented accurately — including year, mileage, specification, and condition — without adding, omitting, or emphasising either positive or negative aspects.
Descriptions, photographs, and specifications are provided in good faith but may contain unintentional errors or omissions, and do not form part of a contractual offer. Vehicle availability, specification, and pricing may change without notice.
3. Buyer Due Diligence
Prospective buyers are responsible for carrying out their own independent checks before purchasing a vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, an HPI or equivalent vehicle history check, an independent mechanical inspection, and verification of mileage, ownership, and outstanding finance.
Any such reports or checks are not provided as part of a vehicle listing unless explicitly stated, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain them. We recommend viewing and test driving a vehicle in person, and satisfying yourself fully as to its condition and suitability, before committing to a purchase.
4. Warranty
No warranty is provided with any vehicle unless explicitly and individually agreed in writing between Tommy Alexander Motors and the buyer prior to purchase.
Where a warranty is agreed, its scope and duration will be set out separately and specifically for that transaction. If no warranty has been agreed in writing, the buyer acknowledges that the vehicle is sold with no warranty, express or implied, beyond any statutory rights that cannot be excluded by law.
5. Reservations & Deposits
A vehicle may be reserved by mutual agreement, which may involve a holding deposit as agreed in advance. A reservation does not itself constitute a completed sale; a sale is only concluded once both parties have agreed all relevant terms.
6. Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection legislation in the United Kingdom.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tommy Alexander Motors will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on information contained within it.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your enquiry or purchase will apply.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
